For years, the festival has traditionally taken place on the last weekend of August – a date that ceremoniously concludes the summer in the municipality of Elstertrebnitz before school and autumn begin. The 36th edition in 2025 ran from August 29th to 31st; the 37th edition in 2026 is announced for the end of August.
