Community festival with games, suckling pig, and marquee music
Christiansholm is a small municipality in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district, on the transition between the Schleswig Hill Country and the Eider lowlands. With a few hundred inhabitants, it is a typical small North German village – with a rich club structure that organizes around 100 events annually, from Pharisäer evenings to sports competitions and Christmas markets.
The village festival is one of the most important dates in Christiansholm's summer calendar. It is organized jointly by the municipality and the local clubs – a true community effort, with each club taking responsibility for a part of the program.
Christiansholm is located between Rendsburg, Schleswig, and Eckernförde. The village festival is one of the central dates in the annual community calendar and an important occasion for former residents to return and new residents to be introduced to the village community.
August 1, 2026, is the date for this year's village festival. The program follows the established community format: games in the afternoon, suckling pig in the evening, and marquee music until the late hours.
By car via district roads from Rendsburg, Schleswig, or Eckernförde. Easily accessible by bike.
Free admission. Suckling pig dinner and drinks at fixed prices.
