Tip
If you want to taste wine in peace, come between 5 PM and 7 PM when the stalls are just opening. From 8 PM onwards, the square fills up, and on weekends, you might find yourself queuing. Strolling between the stages with a glass and Schorle in hand – that's the real wine festival experience.
The Longest Wine Festival in the Region
The Dietzenbach Wine Festival is one of the oldest and longest wine festivals in the Rhine-Main region. What began as a small town festival in 1995 has developed into a ten-day open-air event that attracts thousands of visitors from the entire Offenbach district and beyond every year in early August. The 2026 edition is the 30th anniversary edition.
Seven Growing Regions, One Square
The concept is simple and successful: Winemakers from the classic German wine regions set up their stalls on Europaplatz in the heart of Dietzenbach. Nahe, Mosel, Rheingau, Rheinhessen, Württemberg, Franken, and the Pfalz are regularly represented – red wine, white wine, rosé, Schorle, and sparkling wine. There are also gastronomic stands with Flammkuchen, sausage and cheese specialties, vegetarian options, and sweets.
Europaplatz – The New Center
Europaplatz is the newly designed city center of Dietzenbach. After urban redevelopment, it has become the actual stage of the district town: wide, tree-lined, with space for a "Weinkreis" (wine circle) arrangement where the stalls are arranged around a central stage. This choreography defines the wine festival – you walk the circle, taste, sit down, and move on to the next stage.
Live Music Every Evening
Live music is performed on the show stage daily from 7 PM to 10 PM. The styles are diverse: German-language pop and rock covers, acoustic duos, jazz, Latin bands. The Cuban band Los 4 del Son is practically a regular guest of the festival and will perform again traditionally. The genre fits the summer atmosphere of the festival better than any "Cover Band XY".
Dietzenbach – District Capital in Rodgau
With around 35,000 inhabitants, Dietzenbach is the largest town in the Offenbach district, located between Offenbach and Rodgau on the edge of the Hessisches Ried. Perfectly accessible by public transport (S-Bahn S2 to Frankfurt, A3, A661), the wine festival also attracts a large number of visitors from Frankfurt and Offenbach. A touch of a Palatinate wine festival, right in the middle of the Rhine-Main region.
