Open-air pop festival with Alvaro Soler, street food, and extreme sports in the Allgäu foothills of the Alps
The Daheim Festival is one of the newest festival creations in Oberschwaben. The premiere in 2025 started as a three-day event in Weingarten, the baroque pilgrimage site with the famous St. Martin's Basilica. In its first year, the festival attracted several thousand fans from the Lake Constance-Oberschwaben region with artists like Mia Julia, Lotte, and others. For 2026, the concept is extended: From Friday, June 12th to Saturday, June 13th, 2026, the second edition will take place on the festival grounds at Abt-Hyller-Straße 61 — this time with a more compact weekend event and a higher-quality lineup.
The headliner for 2026 is the Spanish-German pop star Alvaro Soler, known for hits like 'El Mismo Sol', 'Sofia', and 'La Cintura'. His international pop with Mediterranean roots fits the festival's summery open-air character. Also performing are Chapo102 (German pop-rap), Gregor Hägele (indie-pop newcomer, known from 'The Voice of Germany'), Soffie (acoustic pop singer), and the satirical pop duo 'Das Lumpenpack'. The mix of international hits, the German newcomer scene, and cabaret-humorous elements defines the festival's character.
A special feature of the Daheim Festival is the mix of concerts, street food, and extreme sports. Several food trucks and street food vendors will be on the festival grounds offering international specialties — from Asian bowls and Mexican tacos to Swabian classics with modern twists. Parallel to the main stage, there will be a BMX and mountain bike ramp where professional riders and skaters perform tricks. An open skate bowl with Raccoon Skater invites hobby skaters to join in. This triple combination — music, food, sports — makes the Daheim Festival particularly attractive for young families and those interested in experiences.
Weingarten, with a population of just under 25,000, is a special town: a former monastery town with a baroque basilica, a library, and the Weingarten University of Education. In the summer, the festival grounds become a lively open-air area — the combination with the university attracts a rather young, urban-influenced festival audience. Schwäbisch Media, the organizer, is the regional publishing group anchored in Oberschwaben with the Schwäbische Zeitung, and integrates the festival accordingly at a regional level.
