CSD Kaufbeuren / Allgäu Pride

Pride in rural Allgäu

The CSD Kaufbeuren / Allgäu Pride is the Christopher Street Day for the Allgäu region. Organized by Allgäu Pride e. V., a regional LGBTQIA+ association, people from the entire Allgäu region demonstrate together in the independent city of Kaufbeuren for the rights of queer people and for more acceptance and equality. The association thus shows that even a predominantly rural region is proud to be colourful and diverse.

Demonstration and Rally

The meeting point is Schmidgasse at the Zollhäuschen (Kemptener Tor/Alleeweg). From there, the political demonstration proceeds through Kaufbeuren's city centre to the town hall, where the closing rally takes place. Speeches, demands, and a joint statement for diversity are the focus of the political part.

Festival and Allgäu Pride Week

Afterwards, Allgäu Pride e. V. invites you to a festival with live music, DJs, and drag performances. The CSD is the highlight of the Allgäu Pride Week, which fills the days around the event with workshops, discussions, and community gatherings. The association also engages year-round, for example with educational workshops in schools.

Kaufbeuren in the Allgäu region

Kaufbeuren is an independent city in the Allgäu region in southern Bavaria. With the Allgäu Pride, the historic city has become an important meeting point for the queer community of the entire region.
