Castle Park becomes a Classic Car Meet

Cars & Castle is one of North Rhine-Westphalia's most magnificent classic and youngtimer car meets — set against a unique backdrop: the historic Schloss Lauersfort in Moers-Kapellen, a moated castle on the Lower Rhine. On German Unity Day, October 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., over 250 historic vehicles will be parked on the castle grounds — a sight that will make every classic car enthusiast's heart beat faster.

Schloss Lauersfort — Moated Castle on the Lower Rhine

Schloss Lauersfort is a late Baroque moated castle from the 18th century, picturesquely situated among fields and forests on the western Lower Rhine, about 5 kilometers northwest of Moers town center. With its park, moat, and classic Baroque main building, the castle offers a photogenic setting that appears significantly more stately than most venues for car meets.

Over 250 Vehicles — The Range of Classics and Youngtimers

The exhibition covers the entire spectrum of historic automobiles:

• Classic Oldtimers — Pre-war, 1950s, and 1960s
• Youngtimers — Vehicles from the 1980s and 1990s, just reaching classic status
• Sports cars, luxury sedans, convertibles, sometimes also vintage motorcycles
• Some vehicles in original condition, some restored
