The Wine Party on the Pfaffenberg is a summer wine event hosted by Bürgerspital Winery Würzburg — one of the oldest and most renowned wine foundations in Franconia. The venue is the courtyard on the Pfaffenberg on Pfaffenbergstraße in the Würzburg district of Dürrbachau/Unterdürrbach, offering a wide view over the city.
Two Bands, Three Wine Bars
The concept is clear: two live bands, an exceptional and diverse selection of wines at three wine bars, delicacies and burgers from a food truck, sparkling cocktails, and plenty of sunny and shady seating. The blend of high-quality Franconian wine and a relaxed party atmosphere is what makes it so appealing — a “feast for all senses.”
Sparkling Wine Brunch to Kick Off
On both festival evenings, from 6 PM to 8 PM, sparkling wine, Secco, and non-alcoholic Secco are available at reduced prices at the MIX.BAR and KOST.BAR — a popular way to start the evening. Admission begins at 6 PM.
Free Shuttle
A free shuttle bus transports guests every half hour from the Bismarckstraße/Posthalle stop at the main train station to the festival grounds and back — convenient, car-free travel and carefree wine enjoyment included.
Bürgerspital and Würzburg Wine
The Bürgerspital was founded in 1319 as a foundation to care for older Würzburg citizens; its winery is now one of the oldest in Germany. Würzburg, an independent city in the state of Bavaria and the center of Franconian viticulture on the Main river loop, is famous for its Silvaner and its historic vineyards. The Wine Party on the Pfaffenberg brings this centuries-old wine culture into a modern, youthful format.
Wine Party on the Pfaffenberg — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Wine Party on the Pfaffenberg runs on Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25, starting at 6 PM at the Bürgerspital courtyard on the Pfaffenberg (Pfaffenbergstraße, Würzburg-Dürrbachau).
Two live bands will provide the atmosphere, an exceptional selection of wines will be served at three wine bars, along with wine cocktails and delicacies and burgers from a food truck. On both evenings, from 6 PM to 8 PM, sparkling wine, Secco, and non-alcoholic Secco are available at reduced prices at the MIX.BAR and KOST.BAR. A free shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes between the main train station (Bismarckstraße/Posthalle) and the festival grounds.

Getting There
Recommended: free shuttle bus every 30 minutes from the Bismarckstraße/Posthalle stop (near the main train station) to the festival grounds and back. By car, take the A3/A7 to Würzburg, then follow signs for Dürrbachau/Unterdürrbach — parking at the festival grounds is limited; prefer the shuttle.
