Community Festival in the Freising Region
The Bürgerfest Marzling is the annual social event of the municipality of Marzling in the district of Freising (Upper Bavaria, Bavaria), a few kilometers east of Freising. Over a weekend, the village center transforms into a festival ground where clubs, the municipality, and citizens celebrate together.
Beer Tapping and Festival Operations
The festival opens on Saturday evening with the beer tapping and subsequent bar service. On Sunday, the actual Bürgerfest takes place with festival operations, Bavarian catering, and a program for young and old – a sociable meeting point for the entire community.
Traditional Motorcycle Blessing
A special highlight is the motorcycle blessing on Sunday morning, organized by the Marzling Motorcycle Friends. Bikers from the region come together, their machines are blessed; there is also a biker breakfast, coffee and cake, and non-alcoholic drinks. The proceeds from coffee and cake are donated to charitable causes – tradition and social commitment go hand in hand.

Bürgerfest Marzling — edition 2026
On the weekend of May 30 and 31, 2026, Marzling will celebrate its Bürgerfest. The kick-off is on Saturday, May 30, at 6:00 PM with the beer tapping followed by bar service in the town center.
On Sunday, May 31, the actual Bürgerfest begins at 11:00 AM with festival operations and catering. The traditional motorcycle blessing, organized by the Marzling Motorcycle Friends, will take place in the morning: biker breakfast, blessing of the machines, coffee and cake, and non-alcoholic drinks; donations for coffee and cake will benefit charitable causes.

Getting There
Marzling is located in the district of Freising in Upper Bavaria, near Freising and Munich Airport. By train via the Munich–Landshut line (stop Marzling), from there a few minutes to the town center. By car via the A92 (exit Freising-Ost).

Admission to the Bürgerfest is free; food, drinks, and festival beer are charged. Donations for coffee and cake are requested at the motorcycle blessing (charitable cause).
