About Community Festival Buckenhof

The Buckenhof Community Festival is the annual community and club festival of the small municipality of Buckenhof in the Erlangen-Höchstadt district, immediately east of Erlangen. According to the official rule of the municipality, it takes place every year on the first consecutive weekend in July (Friday to Sunday). Buckenhof – one of the smallest municipalities in Bavaria with around 2,500 inhabitants – then celebrates together with clubs, neighbors, and guests from the region. Early morning drinks (Frühschoppen), a family flea market, food, and concerts make the festival a convivial meeting place that strengthens community cohesion. Since Buckenhof does not have its own traditional Kirchweih (church fair), the community festival is the central village festival of the year.
