Lengerich — Tecklenburger Land, Gateway to Münsterland

Lengerich, a town of around 22,000 inhabitants in the Steinfurt district (Münster administrative region), is located on the southern edge of Tecklenburger Land and at the transition to Münsterland. Characterized by the cement industry (Dyckerhoff), the distinctive Teutoburg Forest fringe, and a vibrant city center. The Brunnenfest has been Lengerich's largest city festival for over three decades.

34th Edition — An Established City Tradition

With the 34th edition in 2026, the Brunnenfest ranks among the oldest city festivals in Münsterland. The organizer is the Werbegemeinschaft Lengerich e.V. — the association of local retailers and restaurateurs who have been organizing the festival since the early 1990s.

Four Stages — Four Atmospheres

The special feature: the Brunnenfest is spread across four stages, each with its own character:

• Floweria Stage at Bodelschwingh-Platz — cozy atmosphere, regional bands
• Kreissparkassen Stage at Rathausplatz — the main stage with bigger acts
• Volksbank Stage in the Old Town — historic backdrop, singer-songwriters, and acoustic acts
• Music at Wapakoneta-Platz — the fourth spot, named after Lengerich's American partner city Wapakoneta (Ohio)

Visitors stroll between the squares — a mini-festival hopping experience within a city.

Lineup 2026 — Known Names and Newcomers

Confirmed for 2026 are, among others, Matze Nagel, Lennart Tecklenburg, Yeliz Sever, and Sophie — a mix of regional singer-songwriters and national acts. The exact stage distribution will be published on brunnenfest-lengerich.de and in the event flyer.

Wine Village at the Kontor

A culinary highlight is the Wine Village at the Kontor — an area where regional vintners and restaurateurs serve wine. In addition, there's a wide selection of food, from bratwurst to vegetarian-vegan options, ice cream, and sweets. The entire Lengerich city center transforms into a festival mile.

Wapakoneta-Platz — Partnership with the USA

A Lengerich specialty: Wapakoneta-Platz is named after Lengerich's American partner city, Wapakoneta in Ohio — the birthplace of astronaut Neil Armstrong. The partnership has existed for decades, and the square commemorates it. During the Brunnenfest, the square becomes a concert stage — a nice detail for history enthusiasts.
