Park of the Obere Burg — historic festival ambiance

The "Park of the Obere Burg" in Rheinbreitbach is a historic park area with old trees, staircases, and sightlines. Its location on the slope above the town center creates a special atmosphere for the Parkfest. Schulstraße, as the access, will be a pedestrian zone during the festival.

Association-based community festival

The organizer of the Parkfest is the "Förderverein der Ortsvereine Rheinbreitbach e.V." — an association of around 40 local clubs from the municipality, who volunteer to organize stalls, the program, and catering. This structure ensures that the Parkfest retains its unique community festival character every year: sports, music, carnival, social, and cultural clubs contribute and use the proceeds for their club activities.

Flea market, crafts, children, music

The program typically includes: a large flea market with private and commercial stalls; an area for arts and crafts and regional products; children's entertainment with bouncy castles, face painting, and games; live music on a small stage in the park (acoustic, folk, pop, occasionally big band); food stalls from the individual clubs with the characteristic variety of association-based festivals — bratwurst, fries, pizza, crêpes, wine, beer, cocktails, coffee, and cake.

Tradition since the early 1980s

With 43 editions, the Parkfest is one of the most traditional community festivals in the region. The event formula has proven itself: low-threshold access (free admission), association as organizer, park as the ideal backdrop.
