Summer village and folk festival on the Criewen lock canal in the Lower Oder Valley National Park
Criewen is a district of the town of Schwedt/Oder in the northern Uckermark — and is located in the middle of Germany's only floodplain national park, the Lower Oder Valley National Park. The Schleusenkanal (lock canal) between the Oder river and the old Criewen lock is one of the most impressive waterways in the region.
On Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 4 PM to 10 PM, the Criewen local council invites you to the Brückenfest on the Schleusenkanal. It's a typical village festival: tables and benches right by the water, a small stage area, stands for drinks and food.
The Schleusenkanal is located directly at the entrance to the Lower Oder Valley National Park. If you arrive early, you can combine the day with a hike or bike tour through the Oder floodplains — the National Park House is just a short walk away.
The organiser is the Criewen Local Council in cooperation with the local heritage association and clubs from the Schwedt urban area.
Six-hour summer festival on the Criewen lock canal. Stage area by the water, regional catering, children's program in the afternoon, live music and DJ sets in the evening.
Criewen is located about 6 km north of Schwedt/Oder. By car via the L 28; reachable from Schwedt/Oder train station by bus or bicycle in about 20–25 minutes.
