Music festival on the Hellberg

Weigendorf is a small municipality in the Nürnberger Land region, on the edge of the Hersbrucker Alb. The **Bright Mountain Festival** is organized on the Hellberg sports grounds by the support association of SpVgg Weigendorf for family and culture — a music festival that deliberately puts music and culture, rather than sport, at its center. What began as an idea on the sports field in 2022 is now a firm highlight in the regional festival calendar.

Five bands, two choirs, dance

The program includes five bands, two choirs, and numerous dance acts. The festival opens around 4 PM with "Kids on Stage", where children perform themselves. The musical spectrum ranges from rock and pop to cover bands and choral music — a diverse program for a broad audience from the region.

Family festival with a festival character

Beyond the music, the Bright Mountain Festival has the charm of a village and family festival: food stalls offer burgers, bratwurst, coffee and cake, plus wine, cocktails, and beer. Its non-profit nature — supported by the SpVgg Weigendorf support association for family and culture — and the family atmosphere are what make it so special.

Weigendorf is located in the Nürnberger Land region between Hersbruck and Sulzbach-Rosenberg, a region friendly to hikers and cyclists on the edge of the Franconian Alb. A festival visit can be well combined with a tour through the Pegnitztal or the Hersbrucker Schweiz.
