21st Brandenburg Village and Harvest Festival „Regional and Digital“

When the Countryside Takes Centre Stage

Once a year, a small village in Brandenburg becomes the capital of agriculture. In 2026, Damelang, a district of the municipality Planebruch in the Brück office, within the Potsdam-Mittelmark district, will host the event. From September 11th to 13th, pro agro e.V. – the marketing association for Brandenburg's rural areas – invites you to the 21st Brandenburg Village and Harvest Festival. It is simultaneously the official State Harvest Festival, the Fläming Market, and the Potsdam-Mittelmark District Harvest Festival.

Motto: Regional and Digital

The guiding theme for 2026 strikes a chord with modern agriculture: „Regional and Digital“. At the festival grounds, historical agricultural machinery and smart farming robots stand side by side. In the Smart Farming Lab, exhibitors present agricultural robots, AI applications, and digital solutions for managing large areas, typical for Brandenburg.

Harvest Crown and Harvest Queen

The centrepiece is the election of the Harvest Queen by the Brandenburg Rural Women's Association and the competition for the most beautiful harvest crown. Decorated festival floats will parade through the village on Saturday in a traditional harvest festival procession.

Competitions and Hands-on Activities

The programme includes a ploughing competition, a dumper race (farmers' olympiad), a football tournament between village clubs, a dog sports competition, and horse-drawn carriage rides through the hilly landscape of the Fläming. Children will find bouncy castles, craft activities, and animals to pet.

Market and Gastronomy

The regional market brings together pro agro members from all over the state of Brandenburg: sausage and cheese producers from the Uckermark, beekeepers from the Spreewald, bakers from the Havelland, vintners from the Werderaner Höhe, and brewers from the Lausitz. Farms in Damelang open their gates and offer farm-to-table gastronomy.

Brandenburg's Fläming Region

The Hoher Fläming, where Damelang is located, is a gently rolling landscape in southern Brandenburg. With its castles, heathlands, and orchards, it is one of the state's most agriculturally productive regions. The Brandenburg Village and Harvest Festival moves to a different municipality each year – the choice is made by pro agro in conjunction with the Rural Women's Association. Damelang is the host in 2026: a small village representing a large state.
