Bouncy Castle Meadow by the Glass Elephant, Children's Music in the Action Hollow β Martin Pfeiffer and Okay Tilda, May 24th and 25th, 2026
Maximilianpark Hamm, as a former Federal Garden Show park and home to the famous Glass Elephant (symbol of the park and the city of Hamm), has been the region's family leisure hotspot for decades. One of the most popular park events is the Bouncy Castle Festival β a weekend with a large bouncy castle landscape and family concerts. The next edition will take place from Saturday, May 24th, and Sunday, May 25th, 2026.
On the large meadow by the Glass Elephant, the park sets up a colorful ensemble of bouncy castles:
Overall, a meadow full of laughter, squeals, and leaps β as Maxipark aptly describes it.
Martin Pfeiffer is one of the best-known children's musicians in the Rhineland β his program combines interactive children's music, stories, and participatory activities with modern beats. Children aged 3 to 10 are the main audience. An energetic, never boring live children's performance.
On Sunday, Okay Tilda takes the stage β a Family Rock project with modern, unusually sophisticated children's rock songs. It delights parents and children simultaneously, with pop hooks that work for both generations.
In bad weather, the stage shows will be moved to the Werkstatthalle of Maxipark β the bouncy castles will be dismantled in heavy rain, and the event will run in a reduced capacity. Current weather information via the park's website and social media.
Maximilianpark Hamm was created for the 1984 State Garden Show on the former site of the Maximilian colliery. Its trademark is the Glass Elephant β a huge sculpture from the former laundry drying tower of the colliery, redesigned by artist Horst Rellecke. Today, it is the world's tallest walk-in elephant β from the elephant's belly, you have a view over the Ruhr area to MΓΌnsterland. The park itself is a green oasis with themed gardens, the famous butterfly house, a beach volleyball area, and numerous playgrounds.
Hamm is a district-free city in North Rhine-Westphalia β at the transition from MΓΌnsterland to the northern Ruhr area. Maxipark is one of the city's most visited attractions β ideal for families with small children with a season ticket.
The 2026 edition runs on May 24th and 25th, 2026, from 11 AM to 6 PM.
In case of rain, concerts will be moved to the Werkstatthalle.

Regular park admission (Adults approx. β¬7, children cheaper). Bouncy castles and concerts included in park admission. Season ticket holders: free. The season ticket is worthwhile for families visiting multiple park events.
Arrive from 11 AM β many families will be eating around lunchtime, so the bouncy castles will be a bit quieter then. Plan to stay for the concert at 3 PM, and then enjoy the second half of bouncing. Combine your visit with the Butterfly House (separate admission) β one of the most beautiful nature show experiences for children in the Ruhr area. Bring a picnic blanket and a change of clothes (children get warm and thirsty).
