Political Education as a City Festival
The Border Experiences series is a unique format for political education in Germany: over six weeks, more than 40 events will take place at 17 venues in the German-Polish twin city of Frankfurt (Oder) – Słubice.
April 23 to May 31, 2026
The series runs from Thursday, April 23, 2026, to Sunday, May 31, 2026.

- Conferences with scientists, politicians, and education experts
- Debates and panel discussions on European migration, EU external borders, and culture of remembrance
- City walks in Frankfurt (Oder) and Słubice

Organiser — Frankfurt-Słubice Cooperation Centre
The series is organised by the Frankfurt-Słubice Cooperation Centre (FSCC) within the Frankfurt (Oder) city administration.
Bildungskommunen ESF Plus
The series is embedded in the federal and EU programme Bildungskommunen, funded by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus).
Border Experiences — edition 2026
Six weeks of political education in the public space of the twin city. Programme days are scheduled around weekends, public holidays, and school breaks — specifically April 23–24, May 1, May 5, May 7–9, May 12–13, May 16–18, May 21–22, and May 28–31.
