Among them are established names such as Alonso Ruizpalacios, Aida Begić, Silver Bear winner Dénes Nagy, as well as ten alumni producers in the Talent Project Market (including Álvaro Gago, Simon Jaquemet).

Industry Market at the Heart of the Berlinale
The Berlinale Co-Production Market is part of Berlinale Pro, the industry arm of the Berlinale, which also includes the European Film Market, Berlinale Talents, and the World Cinema Fund. While the Berlinale screens films, the Co-Production Market builds the films of tomorrow: over four intensive days, around 1,500 pre-arranged one-on-one meetings take place between producers of selected projects and over 600 potential co-producers, financiers, and distributors.
Structure and Programme Tracks
The BCPM is divided into several sections that represent different phases and talent levels:
- Co-Production Market – the main section with around 30–35 selected feature film projects annually
- Talent Project Market – in cooperation with Berlinale Talents, 10 alumni producers each with new projects
- Books at Berlinale – book projects with film potential
- Co-Pro Series – series projects from around the world
Prizes and Funding
Among the prizes awarded are the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award (€20,000), the VFF Talent Highlight Award (€10,000), the Gen Z Audience Award (€5,000, German-French Youth Office), and the Berlinale Series Market Award.
Atrium Tower and Gropius Bau
The venues are the Atrium Tower directly at the Berlinale Palast (Eichhornstraße 3) and the Gropius Bau, which becomes the EFM hub during the Berlinale. Pitches, one-on-one meetings, panels, and industry receptions take place across several floors. Berlin-Mitte and Tiergarten form the most productive hub for the global industry between Cannes and Toronto during the Berlinale days.
Access
The BCPM is not a public festival: participation is only possible with a valid EFM or BCPM accreditation. For filmmakers wishing to submit, there is an open call for projects every year (in the autumn of the preceding year).
