Overview

The 22nd edition of the Berlinale Co-Production Market took place in February 2025, parallel to the 75th Berlinale. Once again in 2025, around 600 co-producers, financiers, and distributors from around the world met at Potsdamer Platz to initiate new international feature film and series projects. The Talent Project Market, Co-Pro Series, Books at Berlinale, and the established awards from Eurimages and VFF formed the framework. As always, the market was reserved exclusively for accredited industry professionals.

The 22nd edition of the Berlinale Co-Production Market took place in February 2025, parallel to the 75th Berlinale at Potsdamer Platz – in the Atrium Tower and the Gropius Bau. As in previous years, the market served as the central link for the international industry between Cannes and Toronto.

Programme and Sections

The proven structure with the main section Co-Production Market, Talent Project Market, Co-Pro Series, and Books at Berlinale was maintained. In 2025, feature film and series projects from around 25 countries were brought together with potential partners through pre-arranged one-on-one meetings.

Awards

Among the awards presented were again the Eurimages Co-Production Development Award, the VFF Talent Highlight Award, and the Gen Z Audience Award – all important markers for national and international film funding bodies.

Industry Character

As usual, the BCPM was not open to the public. Participation was only possible with a valid EFM or BCPM accreditation. The pitches, panels, and one-on-one meetings are the main working formats.
