Europe's largest music video festival — three days of screenings, live acts, and awards in Kreuzberg
The Berlin Music Video Awards have existed since 2012 and have become Europe's most important music video festival in a decade. Unlike the major mainstream awards (MTV VMAs, NRJ Music Awards), the BMVA jury team selects works from thousands of submissions independently of commercial success — indie productions, international short films, queer filmmakers, experimental clips. Over 30 categories cover everything: best concept, best direction, best animal video, best stop-motion, best choreography.
For years, the venue has been the Gretchen Club in Kreuzberg — a 5-room concert venue in a former Prussian Army horse stable, Obentrautstraße 19-21, 10963 Berlin. Three days of programming: Day 1 opening with screenings and first awards, Day 2 main program with live acts and award ceremonies, Day 3 finale with closing party. Doors open daily at 4:30 PM.
The festival color for 2026 is Pink — a conscious break from the rather dark, monochrome aesthetic of previous years. According to the organizers, the choice refers to the strong queer programming of the 2026 award nominations and positions the festival as a "source of light" in the international music video festival spectrum.
From June 11 to 13, 2026, the 14th edition of the Berlin Music Video Awards takes place at the Gretchen Club in Kreuzberg. Three days of programming with screenings, award ceremonies, live concerts, workshops, networking spaces, and after-parties make the festival the most important meeting point for the international music video scene. Over 30 categories will be awarded — from "Best Concept" to "Best Direction" to "Best Animation". Doors open daily at 4:30 PM. Age limit: 18+. Pink is the festival color for 2026.
