Volksfest at Bergedorfer Frascatiplatz
The Bergedorfer Oktoberfest gathers thousands of visitors every September on Frascatiplatz right in the center of Bergedorf. Bergedorf is located on the southeastern border of Hamburg, nestled between the Vier- und Marschlande and the Sachsenwald – and with its market and folk festival tradition, it has its own, somewhat Lower Saxon-Bavarian mixed character.
Beer Tent, Amusement Rides, Family Program
The center of the festival is the beer tent with Bavarian folk music, oompah music, traditional costumes, and Wiesn beer. Outside, there are amusement rides and children's carousels for the little ones. On Sunday, a parade goes through the center of Bergedorf – a tradition in which Bergedorf clubs and traditional costume groups participate.
Cashless in the Beer Tent
Starting in 2026, the Bergedorfer Oktoberfest will consistently rely on cashless payment in the beer tent for the first time. Card and mobile payments at all counters; cash will no longer be accepted in the beer tent. Outside the tent (stalls, snack bars, amusement rides), cash payment is usually still possible.

Three Days of Volksfest in Bergedorf
The Bergedorfer Oktoberfest 2026 runs from Friday, September 18th to Sunday, September 20th at Frascatiplatz. On Friday, the beer tent opens with the traditional tapping of the keg; on Saturday, the focus is on the beer tent program; on Sunday, the parade goes through the center of Bergedorf.

Admission
Admission to the festival grounds is free. Tables in the beer tent are sometimes reservation-only (table reservation via the festival website).
