Dancing by the Water on Whit Sunday

Since 2011, Beach of Love has been the Whit Sunday date for the Techno scene between Stuttgart, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe, and Würzburg. On Hip Island — an island in the Neckar river in the middle of Heilbronn — an open-air club with three floors, a designed beach backdrop, and a view of the water is created for one day each year. The 2026 edition is the 15th — a small anniversary that will be celebrated with a correspondingly curated lineup.

Lineup 2026: Tanzmann, Doering, Sarah Wild

The headliner is Matthias Tanzmann, one of the best-known German Tech-House producers and co-founder of Moon Harbour Recordings from Leipzig. Also featured are Dirty Doering (Berlin, Katermukke), Sarah Wild, Beyond Us, Tim|bre, and the duo Josha & Vica. A lineup that bridges the gap between experienced DJs and younger acts in the scene.

Concept: Open Air on the Neckar

Admission is at 2 PM, the festival runs until midnight — ten hours of dancing and music. The Hip Island grounds are accessible, and covered areas provide protection from rain. Entry is permitted only for those 18 and over — no exceptions. Local food trucks and bars provide refreshments, but the focus is clearly on music and dancing.

Heilbronn am Neckar

Heilbronn, with around 130,000 inhabitants, is one of the largest cities in Baden-Württemberg, located on the Neckar between Stuttgart and Mannheim. The city has developed a remarkable club scene in recent years, and Beach of Love is considered a flagship of the electronic open-air season. You can reach Heilbronn directly from Frankfurt, Munich, or Berlin by ICE high-speed train.
