About Bayreuth Summertime

Bayreuth Summertime is the multifaceted summer of culture in the Upper Franconian festival city. From June to August, over 100 events transform the city into an open stage: Pop and classical music, theatre, film, and comedy, much of it outdoors. From the Margravial Opera House to the Seebühne (lake stage) and Villa Wahnfried, the series uses Bayreuth's most beautiful locations and, alongside the world-famous Bayreuth Festival, forms an atmospheric cultural thread through the summer in the district of Bayreuth.

Bayreuth Summertime 2026 will once again bring over 100 events to the festival city from June to August: Pop, classical, theatre, film, and comedy at venues throughout the city, many of them outdoors.

In 2026, Bayreuth Summertime will once again use the city's most beautiful locations from June to August – from the Margravial Opera House to the Seebühne and Villa Wahnfried. The programme includes pop and classical concerts, theatre, film, and comedy. The year 2026 in Bayreuth will also be marked by the major anniversary '150 Years of the Bayreuth Festival', which will run as a common thread through the summer of culture. Getting There

Bayreuth is easily accessible via the A9 (Munich–Berlin) and A70 motorways, and by train (ICE stop Bayreuth). The venues are spread throughout the city and are mostly centrally located.
