A winter highlight of the Bavarian metal scene

The Bavarian Battle Winter is the indoor edition of the traditional Bavarian Battle Open Air and takes place annually in January in the historic Lokschuppen Rosenheim. The non-profit association BB Events e. V. has been organizing the event since 2016, establishing it as a fixture in the metal scene in Upper Bavaria and throughout the state of Bavaria.

Soundscapes between darkness and melody

The musical spectrum ranges from Dark Metal and Gothic Metal to Symphonic Black Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Doom, and Sludge. The intimate setting of the Lokschuppen creates a dense, almost familiar atmosphere, bringing the audience particularly close to the bands.

Stage for established acts and newcomers

A characteristic of the Bavarian Battle Winter is the mix of international headliners and regional up-and-coming bands. This gives young groups the opportunity to play in front of a knowledgeable audience, while well-known acts provide the necessary draw.

Lokschuppen Rosenheim – the venue

The Lokschuppen at Rathausstraße 24 in Rosenheim is an established event venue in the Rosenheim district. As a covered performance space, it offers ideal conditions for a winter metal festival. Its central location in the town of Rosenheim makes it easy to reach by public transport.

A scene tradition in the Rosenheim district

In addition to the winter event, BB Events e. V. also organizes the Bavarian Battle Open Air in early summer at the Pröbstl festival grounds. For many fans, the winter festival serves as a reunion during the cold season and a preview of the open-air season.
