A Summer Stage in a UNESCO World Heritage Site
Few open-air concert series in Germany are staged against such a magnificent backdrop: The Kurgarten of Baden-Baden, directly in front of the classicist Kurhaus with its colonnaded facade and casino, has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2021 as one of the eleven European spa towns of the Great Spa Towns of Europe. It is here that Baden-Baden Events GmbH will stage the Baden-Baden Summer Nights from July 2nd to 5th, 2026 — four days of open-air music with free admission, in an atmosphere that oscillates between a glamorous spa town and a relaxed summer festival.
Tribute Bands, Jazz, and DJ Sets
The program deliberately focuses on diversity. Tribute bands pay homage to the greats of pop and rock history: Coldplay, Elton John, Billy Joel, The Police, Genesis — classics that connect generations. In addition, there will be jazz (the KIT Big Band traditionally plays on Sunday afternoons), Latin and soul ensembles, and DJ sets to round off the evening. Established artists alternate with young talents from the region. The selection is programmatically broad — from cover bands and funk and soul to electronic dance music.
Street Food, Lounges, and Summer Night Atmosphere
Selected gastronomic partners have set up around the stages in the Kurgarten. Street food stalls offer everything from burgers and wraps to Asian dishes and classic regional specialties. Cocktail bars and wine stands serve regional wines from the nearby Markgräflerland and Ortenau regions. Lounges with deckchairs and bistro tables on the lawns create the atmosphere for which the Kurgarten is known: not a hard festival summer vibe, but relaxed summer nights under old plane trees and linden trees, with a view of the Kurhaus and the theater.
A Festival for the City and its Guests
The Baden-Baden Summer Nights are aimed equally at locals and the international guests who visit Baden-Baden in large numbers during the summer. Precisely because admission is free, concert-goers in elegant attire mingle with families in summer clothes and tourists with guidebooks. The low-threshold format fits the city's DNA: high culture, but accessible. Baden-Baden Events GmbH coordinates the program and will gradually publish the schedule and band lineup in spring before the festival on badenbadenevents.de.

The 2026 Baden-Baden Summer Nights run from Thursday, July 2nd, to Sunday, July 5th, 2026, in the Kurgarten in front of the Kurhaus. Free admission on all four days. The organizer is Baden-Baden Events GmbH.

Getting There
By train: Baden-Baden station, then take bus lines 201, 205, 216 or a ten-minute walk through the Kurpark. By car: A 5 (exits Baden-Baden / Rastatt), parking garages at the Festspielhaus and Augustaplatz. Arrival by public transport is recommended — the KONUS guest card offered by many Black Forest hotels covers buses and trains in the region.
