12th edition of the regional market with over 80 exhibitors at the Paulikloster — September 19 and 20, 2026
The Brandenburg State Museum of Archaeology is housed in the Paulikloster, a former Dominican monastery from the 13th century, whose Gothic brick buildings are among the most beautiful in Brandenburg. After secularization, the complex was converted into a museum in 2008 — today it shows permanent exhibitions on the early history of Brandenburg. In September, the monastery courtyard and parts of the interior will become a market — an unusually atmospheric setting for a regional market.
The Regional Market Brandenburg is organized by the Brandenburg industry association pro agro e.V. — a lobby organization for the regional agricultural and food industry, which connects many well-known Brandenburg food producers with the "pro agro" seal. The 2026 market is the 12th edition and brings together over 80 exhibitors from all over Brandenburg: dairies (Demeter-Brodowin, farm cheese from Spreewald), meat and sausage producers (wild boar sausage from Schorfheide, organic pork), fruits and vegetables (Werderaner fruit, Spreewald gherkins), herbs and teas, fish smokers from Havelland, baked goods (rye bread, Stollen, yeast dough snails), chocolate from Brandenburg manufacturers, drinks (Brandenburg wines, beer, schnapps), plus soaps, cosmetics, jewelry, fashion — the full diversity of regional value creation.
The market runs Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM. Visitors can browse the stalls, taste, shop, and talk to the producers — typically, the owners are personally present at the stand. Admission costs €5, reduced €3.50, children and young people under 18 years are free. For children, there is a regional market rally where they collect stamps at various stalls and solve small tasks — a nice way to teach about food in a playful manner. The exact stage program and possible workshops will be communicated by the organizer a few weeks before the market.
Brandenburg an der Havel can be reached from Berlin in 50 minutes by RE 1 train (main station), and the Paulikloster is about a 15-minute walk or a 5-minute bus ride from there. By car: A 2 exit Brandenburg an der Havel. A perfect weekend trip for Berlin foodies who want to discover and buy regional products — can be combined with a city tour in the Three-Town (Altstadt, Neustadt, Dominsel) or a walk along the Havel. Recommended to bring: a large bag or cooler bag.
The 2026 Regional Market is the twelfth edition in this format and also one of the most important dates in the Brandenburg regional product calendar. Over 80 exhibitors from all over the Mark present their products — from Demeter cheese to organic chocolate, from Spreewald gherkins to Havelland smoked fish. The Paulikloster location is more than just a backdrop: the late Gothic monastery buildings make the market a visual experience. The exact stage and interactive program will be communicated by the organizer pro agro in the weeks before the market.
