The longest Kirchweih in the district — twelve days of tradition, Wagnertanz and Maßkrugschieben
The Bad Windsheim Kirchweih is the largest and longest folk festival in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district. For around twelve days at the end of August, the Franconian spa and half-timbered town celebrates its Kirchweih with a packed program of customs, a festival tent, showmen, and markets. The festival is initiated by several Vorkirchweihen (pre-Kirchweih celebrations) in the districts, each with a beer tapping ceremony.
The amusement rides and attractions are located on the Schießwasen. Another highlight is the "Kerwadorf" (Kirchweih village) entertainment in the evening. The grand finale is a spectacular fireworks display at the end of the Kirchweih.
