The Backyard Reloaded Festival is one of the most independent festival projects in the Mitteldeutschland underground. The organizers describe it as «a festival from friends for friends — no commercialism. The announced 2026 line-up shows the breadth of the Mitteldeutschland underground scene: Nuclear Pillmachine, Endlager Poolparty, Sunday Of The Dead, Syntension, Schnickebiers, Cocktopuss, Peyster, and Vultures Ahead. Stylistically ranging from Progressive Metal to Doom, Thrash, Punk, and Stoner Rock.

Intimate venue, unforgettable moments

The festival takes place on a small festival site in Jena — the exact location will be communicated shortly before the festival, which is part of the project's community character. The focus is on sound quality and the atmosphere of a small festival that aims to create «unforgettable moments in an intimate stage atmosphere».

Jena in the state of Thuringia has a vibrant underground scene of a university city, alternative venues, and a dedicated concert community.
