In 2025, the Backyard Reloaded Festival also took place in Jena — an independent rock/metal festival in an intimate atmosphere with local bands from the Mitteldeutschland underground scene. The «festival from friends for friends» remained true to its anti-commercial ethos — no major sponsorship, no glossy marketing, but an honest festival atmosphere and a closely collaborating organizing team.
Backyard Reloaded 2025 in Jena
As every year, the Backyard Reloaded Festival 2025 brought together the Mitteldeutschland rock/metal underground scene on a small festival site in Jena. Local bands from the genres of Progressive Metal, Doom, Thrash, and Punk were the focus — not a mainstream line-up, but a clearly positioned festival for the community. Crowdfunding and own funds covered the festival financing, the organizers worked on a voluntary basis. A rare form of festival in today's festival landscape.
