The Anime Messe Babelsberg 2026 runs from Friday, July 17, to Sunday, July 19, at Filmpark Babelsberg in Potsdam. Three days of programming cover everything that makes up Japanese pop culture – with special highlights such as concerts by the Japanese band THE SIXTH LIE and panels with voice actresses Lisa Dzyadyk and Amira Leisner.
On the indoor stage in the Metropolis Hall and the outdoor Volcano Arena, stage shows, competitions, and concerts alternate. Included in the admission price are all programme items, access to Filmpark Babelsberg, and the evening anime disco.

Getting There
Take the S-Bahn line S7 from Berlin to Babelsberg or Griebnitzsee, then a bus or walk to Filmpark. By car, take the A115 (AVUS) motorway to the Potsdam-Babelsberg exit.

Anime in the Film Studio
The Anime Messe Babelsberg brings the full spectrum of Japanese pop culture to Filmpark Babelsberg near Potsdam for three days. Instead of being among film sets, cosplayers, manga artists, J-Pop fans, and anime enthusiasts from all over Germany and neighbouring countries meet here. The studio lot in the Babelsberg district – a centre of German film history for over 100 years – provides a fitting cinematic backdrop.

Filmpark in Potsdam's Babelsberg district has been the home of the Anime Messe for years. Outside of the convention, the studio lot with its film sets, stunt shows, and the famous Caligari Hall can be visited – access to the entire Filmpark is included in the convention ticket price.
