One Village, One Market
The concept of the Dorfflohmarkt Hamdorf is brilliantly simple: no central marketplace, no registration, no stall fee. Instead, the entire village becomes a flea market — anyone who wants to participate simply sets up their items in their own driveway, front garden, or in front of the garage door on Saturday morning. The municipality of Hamdorf publishes a map sketch in advance showing all participating courtyards, so visitors can search specifically — or simply stroll and discover.

With the Dorfflohmarkt 2026, the event series reaches its 6th edition — proving that the format still has its place even in the age of online flea market platforms. The social aspect (neighbors meeting, visitors coming to the village, children selling their old toys) is at least as important here as the actual flea market trade.
Hamdorf — Marsch and Mid-Holstein
Hamdorf is a municipality with around 1,100 inhabitants in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district (Schleswig-Holstein), located in the Mid-Holstein marshland between the Eider river and the Kiel Canal. The municipality consists of several districts — Hamdorf, Bargstedt, Hörsten — all of which participate on the flea market day. Agriculture, commuters to the Rendsburg industrial area, and an active club life characterize the village.

6th Dorfflohmarkt — 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM
The event day, August 8, 2026, transforms the entire village area between Hamdorf, Bargstedt, and Hörsten into one large flea market. Six hours between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM — after which the residents of Hamdorf pack up again.
Participate Without Registration
The municipality of Hamdorf promotes the market in advance; all Hamdorf households are invited to participate. There is no stall registration — anyone who wants to sell simply sets up their items in their driveway or front garden on the morning of the event. Buyers stroll through the village, often with a map sketch in hand, which the municipality provides beforehand.
