The Neunburg Old Town Festival is one of the major summer festivals in the Oberpfälzer Wald. For three days, the historic old town – Hauptstraße, Schrannenplatz, Brandplatz, the historic castle courtyard, and the area Am Torweiher – transforms into a vibrant festival mile with several stages, stalls, and a lively atmosphere.

The centerpiece is the diverse stage program: the spectrum ranges from Italian party bands, cover bands, and the town band to techno, EDM, and dance DJs in the historic castle courtyard. There's something for every generation – from family and senior afternoons to a night of dancing at the festival.

Neunburg Old Town Festival — edition 2026
From August 21 to 23, 2026, the Old Town Festival will transform the historic old town of Neunburg vorm Wald into a festival mile with five stages. On Friday, the festival kicks off with techno, EDM, and dance in the historic castle courtyard, followed by live bands, cover bands, the town band, and DJs over the weekend.
Sunday offers not only party bands but also a family and senior afternoon with the Neunburg town band at Am Torweiher. Culinary stalls and lively conviviality round off the program.
