A day of electronic summer music on the sandy beach of Grünau
Strandbad Grünau opened in 1928 and is one of Berlin's oldest outdoor swimming beaches. Located directly on the Langen See – the western section of the Dahme river in the Treptow-Köpenick district – the facility offers 600 meters of sandy beach and a spacious pine grove. For several years, the Strandbad has been the stage for a series of curated beach festivals during the summer months, with the Alle Farben weekend being among the most sought-after.
Frans Zimmer, better known by his stage name Alle Farben, has been a fixture in the German electronic music scene for over ten years. With over two billion streams worldwide, 32 diamond, platinum, and gold certifications, and hits like “Bad Ideas", “Things It Took Me 30 Years to Learn", and “Walk Away", he is one of Germany's most internationally successful DJs. His track “Berlin" describes his hometown – and it's precisely this connection to the city that he celebrates every year at the Beach Festival in Grünau.
The concept is unusual for the Berlin festival landscape: instead of a single main stage, there are two clearly separated areas. The Beach Stage is located directly by the water on the fine sandy beach, with the sunset over the Langen See providing a natural light show. The Waldarena – also called the JAWOLLA Stage – is integrated into the pine grove, a second dance floor in the shade of the trees with its own sound and atmosphere.
Entry begins at 2 PM and lasts until 10 PM – a full day that combines the Strandbad experience with festival culture. You can swim between sets, relax in a cabana, lounge on a daybed, or enjoy a drink at one of the beach bars. Street food stalls provide guests with snacks. The festival is organized by the venue Strandbad Grünau Beach Festivals as part of a series that also includes other DJ days.
Important: The Alle Farben Beach Festival in Grünau is not to be confused with the regular Alle Farben summer concert in Wuhlheide or other open-air performances. It is a distinct, intimate format with a manageable capacity that deliberately cultivates the beach festival character (limited capacity, beach lounge, water, cabanas). It's a day that is less a mass event and more a communal summer experience.
The 2026 edition falls on Saturday, June 13 – the start of the high season at Strandbad Grünau. Doors open at 2 PM, and the music plays continuously until 10 PM across two clearly separated areas. The headliner is once again Alle Farben himself, supported by an international and Berlin lineup of House, Tech-House, and melodic electronic music.
A welcome drink is included with the ticket. Entry is restricted to individuals aged 18 and over; ID check at the entrance.
Set times will be published in the days leading up to the festival on the official festival website.
