Berlin and the Berlin Beach

The Strandbad Grünau on Langen See in Berlin-Köpenick is one of Berlin's historic lidos — sandy beach, sunbathing lawn, jetty, clear water. Located in the Grünau district (Treptow-Köpenick borough), 25 minutes by S-Bahn from the city center, it's one of the city's most beautiful summer spots. Since 2024, a whole series of one-day beach festivals have been held here, with the 2000s Beach Festival being one of the most established.

Nostalgia Concept of the 2000s

The festival is aimed at everyone who grew up with the dance and trance music of the 2000s — i.e., born roughly between 1980 and 1995. Genres: Eurodance, Trance, Happy Hardcore, Vocal Trance, early Electro House sounds. The headliner in 2026 is the Belgian Eurodance formation Lasgo ("Something" #1 in the Belgian charts 2001, "Alone" #1 in the European Dance Charts 2002).

Two Stages

• Beach Stage — on the sandy beach right by the lake. Lasgo, Shaun Baker, Mütze Katze, and other acts will perform here
• Forest Arena — in the adjacent wooded area with a stage area among the trees. DefJam, F.Meinecke, and supporting DJ sets will be featured here

Festival Infrastructure

• Cabanas (small beach pavilions, bookable separately)
• Daybeds on the beach
• Bars with cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic options
• Food stalls: German and international street food options
• Toilets and cloakroom available
• Card payment only — no cash on site
• FSK 18+, ID required at the entrance

Grünau and Köpenick

Grünau is located in the Treptow-Köpenick district, Berlin's greenest and most water-rich borough. The lido is accessible in 25 minutes from Alexanderplatz via the S-Bahn line S8 — a true urban escape in under 30 minutes. Visitors to the festival typically combine it with a boat trip on the Müggelsee lakes or a walk through the old town of Köpenick.
