150 Years Fire Brigade Moosen on the Vils
The Volunteer Fire Brigade Moosen/Vils is celebrating its 150th founding anniversary in 2026. Moosen is a district of the town of Dorfen in the Erding district in Upper Bavaria. The anniversary will be celebrated with a five-day founding festival on the festival grounds in Moosen.
Five Days of Festivities
From May 14th to 18th, 2026, the festival grounds on Hauptstraße will transform into a festival mile with a large tent. The program includes the traditional Bieranstich (beer tapping) to kick things off, party music in the festival tent, and a celebratory evening with a parade — a chance for the whole village and neighboring communities to meet and socialize.
Volunteerism and Village Community
For the small village of Moosen, the 150th anniversary is a major event. It honors one and a half centuries of volunteer fire protection and the community life that sustains the village.

The Volunteer Fire Brigade Moosen/Vils is celebrating its 150th Founding Festival from May 14th to 18th, 2026, at the festival grounds in Moosen (Hauptstraße 1, 84416 Moosen/Vils, Town of Dorfen).
The festival kicks off on May 14th, 2026, at 10:00 AM with the Bieranstich (beer tapping). On May 15th, 2026, the party band Tetrapack will provide the entertainment in the festival tent starting at 6:00 PM. Throughout the five festival days, there will be tent operations, a parade, and opportunities for meeting and socializing.
