Four-day anniversary celebration of the FFW Langlau-Rehenbühl at Brombachsee
The Volunteer Fire Brigade Langlau-Rehenbühl was founded around 1901 and is today one of the local fire brigades of the municipality of Pfofeld on the Kleiner Brombachsee, in the district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen. For its 125th anniversary, it is organizing a four-day festival in 2026, bringing together not only local clubs but also neighboring brigades from the entire Franconian Lake District.
The Langlau district is located directly on the southern shore of the Kleiner Brombachsee. With its lake center, SeeCamping, and tourist information, Langlau is one of the most popular bathing resorts in the Franconian Lake District. Rehenbühl is situated on the surrounding heights – the joint brigade serves both districts and provides support for an extended operational area with a high number of visitors during the summer.
The festival weekend is structured in a classic Franconian style: beer tapping on Thursday, grand dance evenings on Friday and Saturday, festival service, and parade on Sunday. Renowned Bavarian festival bands will perform on-site – the Wies'nband Würzbuam on Friday, the Bayern3 Band on Saturday. A family afternoon with a program for children and a morning pint on Sunday complete the program.
The patronage for the festival has been officially confirmed, and preparations have been underway for months by the brigade and local clubs. For a brigade with around 60 active members from a town of this size, a 125th anniversary is an extraordinary event – and the Langlau festival grounds at Brombachsee offer the perfect backdrop between Seestraße and Uferweg.
Fire brigade anniversaries like this are fixed highlights in the event calendar of the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district. The District Fire Brigade Inspectorate Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen includes the anniversary in its official overview of fire brigade festivals in 2026, thus setting the framework for a classic Franconian festival weekend by the lake.
For four days, May 21 to 24, 2026 (Thursday to Sunday), the Volunteer Fire Brigade Langlau-Rehenbühl will host its grand anniversary festival in Langlau on the Kleiner Brombachsee. The festival tent is centrally located in the Langlau district – right in the heart of the Franconian Lake District.
The patronage for the anniversary has been confirmed, and the program follows the classic structure of a Franconian fire brigade anniversary with a parade, family afternoon, festival service, and several dance evenings with Bavarian festival bands.
The FFW Langlau-Rehenbühl will announce the detailed program with times via its social media channels (Instagram @ffw.langlau.rehenbuehl) and the municipality of Pfofeld.
Langlau can be reached via the B 466; train travelers should go to Gunzenhausen or Pleinfeld. Locally, Seestraße leads directly to Brombachsee. Festival parking lots will be set up during the festival period, and additional shuttle services from the organizers will be announced in the local press.
Admission to the festival tent, parade, and family afternoon is generally free; food and drinks are available for purchase. For the party evenings, an admission fee for concerts and dancing may be charged at the box office or in advance – details will be announced by the FFW Langlau-Rehenbühl on Instagram (@ffw.langlau.rehenbuehl) and via the municipality of Pfofeld.
Hotels, holiday apartments, and SeeCamping Langlau offer ample accommodation options directly at Brombachsee. Tourist-Info Langlau, Seestraße 12a, Tel. 09834/697.
