From «Heigesdorf» to Exdorf

In the year 951, a Franconian nobleman named Fricco gifted his possessions in «Heigesdorf» – today Exdorf – to the Reichsabtei Fulda. This deed of gift marks the beginning of the village's documented history. In 2026, the village will celebrate its 1075th anniversary with a multi-week festival week under the motto «Shaping, Celebrating, and Preserving History Together».
