About 100 Years Peter Alexander
100 Years Peter Alexander — edition 2026
The homage to Peter Alexander's 100th birthday combines two Berlin summer traditions: the classic Schlager concert and the open-air cinema by the Müggelsee. The program starts at 5:00 PM; organizers recommend arriving early to secure good seats.
The setlist includes Peter Alexander's most popular songs: film Schlager, Viennese songs, operetta melodies (especially from 'Im Weißen Rössl'), love songs, and the major hits from the 1970s ZDF shows. Ronny Heinrich and his musicians will perform the pieces live in authentic arrangements.

Peter Alexander – A Century of Show Business History
Peter Alexander (1926–2011) was one of the most successful entertainers in German-speaking countries: singer, actor, showmaster. With songs like 'Die Nacht', 'Liebesbriefe einer Verliebten', and countless operetta and film Schlager, he shaped decades of German entertainment culture. His 'Peter Alexander Show' on ZDF (1969–1996) is still considered the epitome of Saturday evening TV entertainment in West and East Germany. In 2026, he would have turned 100 – an occasion for numerous tributes throughout the German-speaking world.
Homage at the Friedrichshagen Open-Air Cinema
The Berlin concert will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, starting at 5 PM at the Friedrichshagen Open-Air Cinema – a traditional open-air venue on Müggelseedamm in the Friedrichshagen district (Treptow-Köpenick borough). The venue, formerly a classic GDR open-air cinema, is now also used as a natural amphitheater: stage, audience seating, surrounding trees, a glimpse of the Müggelsee. The atmosphere is cozy and family-friendly – ideal for a Schlager open-air concert with a classic repertoire.
Ronny Heinrich and Orchestra
Singer Ronny Heinrich and his orchestra will host the evening. Heinrich, a specialist in classic Schlager repertoire, will present a program of Peter Alexander's most beautiful songs: Viennese songs, hits from the famous operetta 'Im Weißen Rössl' (Peter Alexander played the film role in 1960), film Schlager from 'Charley's Tante', 'Liebesbriefe einer Verliebten', and Schlager classics from the 1950s to 1980s. The orchestra will accompany in style – live arrangements for a small big band, no playback.
Setting and Audience
Friedrichshagen by the Müggelsee is one of Berlin's most idyllic districts – Bölschestraße as the main axis, the Spree River and Müggelsee nearby, good S-Bahn connections. Those who arrive early can complement the evening with a walk by the lake, a visit to a café on Bölschestraße, or an early dinner.
