The Zons Open-Air Stage in the historic customs fortress of Zons (a district of Dormagen) is one of the most atmospherically charming open-air stages on the lower Lower Rhine. Located directly on the Rhine, framed by the medieval city wall and the Rhine promenade, it offers the perfect setting for summer evening culture. Since 2021 — when the format emerged as an open-air response to closed theaters during the Corona phase — the Zons Kabarett and Comedy Festival has been held here. 2026 marks the 6th edition.

Fri, July 3rd, 2026 — Ingrid Kühne

Ingrid Kühne from Ostwestfalen is one of Germany's most popular comedians. Her mix of slapstick and everyday observation makes her a favorite must-see for comedy lovers.

Sat, July 4th, 2026 — Kom(m)ödchen

The legendary Düsseldorf cabaret ensemble. Political cabaret at the highest level.

Sun, July 5th, 2026 at 11:00 AM — herrH (Children's Concert)

The family concert. herrH — one of Germany's most popular children's bands — brings its hits live to the open-air stage. For the whole family.

Thu, July 9th, 2026 — Lisa Feller

One of Germany's most prominent stand-up comedians. Self-deprecating, sharp, commercially successful.

Fri, July 10th, 2026 — Max Uthoff & Toni

Max Uthoff (known from "Die Anstalt") in a double feature program with Toni. Political cabaret, with a higher standard than usual.

Sat, July 11th, 2026 — Volker Weininger

"Der Sitzungspräsident" (The Session President). Rhineland charm meets sharp political observation.

Fri, July 17th, 2026 — Atze Schröder

The festival highlight. Atze Schröder, one of Germany's best-known comedy brands, gives the closing performance.

Atmosphere — Open-Air Class

What makes the Zons Festival special is the combination of top-class performances and open-air charm. The artists enjoy performing outdoors — the audience with picnic blankets and wine right in front of the stage. At sunset over the Rhine, the stage transforms into a perfect summer stage.

Tickets — 75% Already Sold Out

An indicator of success: 75% of tickets are already sold out in advance. This applies particularly to the premium acts (Lisa Feller, Atze Schröder, Volker Weininger). Those who want remaining tickets should act fast — Reservix or the City Bookstore Dormagen are the places to go.

Visitor Record 2025

The 5th edition in 2025 brought a visitor record with around 4,000 festival guests over 7 performances. Four out of seven shows were completely sold out. This success secured an immediate expansion of the program for 2026 and the repeat of top acts.
