Ten Years of Electronic Music in the Westerwald

The Zeltival Open Air celebrates an unusual success story's tenth anniversary in 2026. What began in 2016 as the idea of a small organizing team has developed into a fixed date in the electronic music scene in the western Westerwald. Zeltival Events organizes various formats; the Open Air at the Waldsportplatz Kirburg is the most visible of these.

House, Tech-House, and Techno

Musically, Zeltival clearly positions itself in the spectrum of House, Tech-House, and Techno. The programming combines internationally active acts with artists from the regional scene. For the anniversary year, the team is focusing on a particularly renowned headliner: Moonbootica, the DJ and producer duo from Hamburg, has been one of the best-known names in the German House and Electronica scene for over two decades.

Open-Air Atmosphere at the Forest Edge

The Waldsportplatz Kirburg is located on the edge of the Westerwald forest, away from larger towns, thus offering an extraordinary open-air backdrop. Lighting design, sound system, stage construction, and the festival area are specially built for the event. Food, drink, and lounge areas complement the dance floor.

Local Roots and Anniversary

Zeltival Events works closely with the local sports community and the municipalities of the Hachenburg collective municipality. This local anchoring is a key reason for the festival's continuity. The 2026 anniversary year honors this ten-year collaboration and looks towards the next decade.
