Wintricher Genusstage

Eight Wineries, One Whitsun Weekend

The Wintricher Genusstage is the joint courtyard festival of the local vintners. Eight wineries participate in the event: Ebert, Thömmes, Jochen Clemens, J.A. Meyer, Marx, Gorges-Reinhard, Quint, and Matthiashof. Each estate designs its own program, from classic wine service to themed tastings and culinary specialties. Visitors are free to decide which estates they visit and when.

Wintrich – A Moselle Wine Village with Character

Wintrich is located between Brauneberg and Piesport in the core area of the Middle Moselle. The 'Großer Herrgott' and 'Ohligsberg' vineyards are among the well-known addresses in the region and primarily grow Riesling, as well as Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc. The steep slopes of Devonian slate produce wines with pronounced minerality and long aging potential.

Feast and Taste

The concept of the Genusstage goes beyond pure wine tasting. Regional specialties are also served at the participating estates: Flammkuchen (tarte flambée), vintner's snacks, cheese platters, game dishes, seasonal antipasti. The combination of wine and culinary delights makes the Genusstage a multi-day enjoyment festival.

Whitsun on the Moselle

Whitsun is one of the most important festival periods on the Moselle. While the Genusstage take place in Wintrich, wine cellars also open in neighboring villages such as Graach, Mülheim, and Piesport. Those who want to combine several events can extend their Whitsun weekend into a Middle Moselle gourmet tour.
