Vindriacum – A Name from Roman Times

The name of the Vindriacum festival hall recalls Wintrich's Roman past. Wine has been cultivated at this spot on the Mosel since antiquity, and the village name is likely derived from the Roman "Vindriacum." The modern festival hall stands directly by the weir and offers both covered space and a spacious outdoor area.

Queen and Coronation

On the Friday evening of the wine festival, the new Wintrich Wine Queen is crowned. The coronation is a social highlight, attended by many dignitaries from politics, business, and the wine industry. The Queen will represent Wintrich viticulture for the following year at trade fairs, festivals, and official events.

Parade with Vintage Tractors

On Saturday, the parade moves through the village. Alongside associations, floats with wine motifs, and music groups, vintage tractors are a prominent feature. The historic machines from the 1940s to the 1970s are lovingly maintained by their owners and are a fascination in themselves.

Riesling, Spätburgunder, and More

The wine selection covers the entire spectrum of Wintrich's vineyard artistry: dry and off-dry Rieslings from the steep slopes, Spätburgunder from the red slopes, as well as Weißburgunder, Müller-Thurgau, and sparkling wines. The participating vintners serve their own wines and are available for conversation.
