Wine event "Winetime" at Weingut Claes Schmitt Erben in Trittenheim on September 11, 2026
"Winetime" at Weingut Claes Schmitt Erben is scheduled for September 2026. Unlike the three-day estate festivals of the Trittenheim season, this is a more compact evening focused specifically on wine enjoyment, information, and personal exchange with the winery. The format benefits from the mild late summer climate on the Mosel and the pre-harvest period when the young wines are already taking shape.
Weingut Claes Schmitt Erben stages "Winetime" in an atmospheric setting: sophisticated lighting, a curated serving program, small tasting units, and accompaniment by the family. Those who only know the winery by its label will get to know the people, styles, and vineyard sites here. The event is significantly more wine-focused and calmer than an estate festival with a Volksfest character – ideal for Mosel lovers and wine connoisseurs.
The tasting focuses on the estate's Trittenheim Rieslings. The top vineyard sites Altärchen and Apotheke are presented in several styles – from feinherb (off-dry) to edelsüß (noble sweet), from young to mature. Additionally, the estate's Pinot varieties and Sekt (sparkling wine) may be included in the serving program. A small, coordinated culinary selection will be served to complement the tasting program.
"Winetime" on September 11 falls within an intensive season of Trittenheim wine events: after the summer festival weekend in June, the estate festivals in July, and the wine festival and Riesling Tour in August, September features WeinWandern (Wine Hiking, Sept 12), Wein & Ziegenkäse (Wine & Goat Cheese, Sept 18), and the autumn wine stand in the Mosel foothills. Those planning a combined wine trip will find a particularly dense Trittenheim event calendar in September.
Winetime 2026 is planned as an evening event lasting several hours. Opening in the early evening, several tasting blocks with small culinary offerings, a longer winding-down period.
The exact schedule and the wines served will be announced in advance by Weingut Claes Schmitt Erben via the Trittenheim Tourist Information and their own channels.
