Wine hike through the Sommerloch vineyards with a subsequent wine festival at the Winzerhof
Wine hikes are a particularly attractive form of wine tasting: Instead of sitting at a table and trying wine, the tasting is combined with physical activity and experiencing nature. At stations along the route, vintners pour their wines, and regional specialties are served. Hikers can walk at their own pace and taste along the way.
Sommerloch is located in the northern part of the Nahe wine-growing region, nestled in a hilly wine landscape. The Sommerloch vineyards offer sites with different exposures, allowing for a corresponding diversity of wines. The hike through these sites also provides insights into viticulture and the landscape of the Naheland.
The Winzerhof Keber-Kolling at Schulstraße 6 is the starting and ending point of the event. The festival opens here on Saturday, hikers return here, and the festival continues here on Sunday until 10 PM. The farm offers the familiar atmosphere that is characteristic of an authentic wine festival.
Live music accompanies both festival days. Acoustic sets, cover bands, or dialect groups are possible; the exact lineup will be published by the organizer. The regional cuisine includes Palatinate and Nahe classics that pair well with the region's wines.
The 2026 edition continues the Sommerloch tradition of wine hike and farm wine festival. The combination of hiking and wine, of experiencing nature and conviviality, makes the format a popular weekend for wine and hiking enthusiasts.
The exact 2026 program, including hike times and routes, will be published by the organizer in the summer. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years.
