Whitsun Festival in the Kurpark Dahn

The Whitsun Festival in the Kurpark is one of the most traditional events in the calendar of the town of Dahn. It has been taking place for many years over the entire Whitsun weekend – from Whitsun Friday to Whitsun Monday – and uses the central Kurpark Dahn as the festival grounds.

The Kurpark as a Festival Venue

Dahn is a state-recognized health resort and accordingly has a spacious spa park. The grounds are located in the middle of the town, lined with old trees and overlooking the striking sandstone formations of the Palatinate Forest. Festival tents are erected for the Whitsun Festival, a stage is built, and catering stands are set up; however, the park remains a green recreational area with the opportunity for walks and breaks away from the hustle and bustle.

Four Days of Program

A varied program runs over the four days: Opening on Whitsun Friday with live music, Saturday and Sunday are dedicated to a full festival atmosphere with several live acts, a children's program, and culinary offerings. Whitsun Monday marks a quieter family day with a morning pint and relaxed get-together.

Family, Clubs, Gastronomy

The Whitsun Festival is organized by the town of Dahn together with local clubs. Sports clubs, the fire department, music clubs, and gastronomic businesses take care of the catering with classic Palatinate dishes: Bratwurst, Pfälzer Saumagen, Leberknödel, Flammkuchen, accompanied by regional drinks and, of course, Palatinate wine. Children will find their own program among bouncy castles, carousels, and small entertainment activities.

Dahn and the Felsenland

Dahn, with around 5,000 inhabitants, is the center of the scenically impressive Dahner Felsenland. The striking red sandstone formations, extensive mixed forests, and hiking trails attract numerous visitors every year. The Whitsun Festival marks the start of the tourist high season and is the first point of contact in the calendar for many guests in the Dahn Felsenland administrative district.
