Seasonal menu with wines from Weingut Meinhard in the Winzenheim district of Bad Kreuznach
Weingut Meinhard in the Winzenheim district of Bad Kreuznach is participating in the Nahe Season Opening 2026 with a seasonal menu accompanied by wine. On three evenings – Thursday to Saturday, starting at 6 p.m. each day – the winery will offer a coordinated menu with the current vintage wines. The focus is on spring seasonal products and the wine that enhances them.
Winzenheim is a district of Bad Kreuznach and one of the historic wine-growing areas on the outskirts. With its own character, narrow alleys, and a number of traditional wineries, it forms its own wine ensemble within the Bad Kreuznach city area.
Weingut Meinhard is one of the established family wineries in Winzenheim. Riesling, Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc), Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris), Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir), and specialty wines characterize the range. Like many Nahe wineries, the estate focuses on artisanal production with an emphasis on terroir and elegance. At the season opening, the winery is the focus both as a producer and as a host.
The seasonal menu for the season opening utilizes the region's spring products: asparagus, wild garlic, young salads, strawberries – these are transformed into a multi-course menu, each paired with a suitable wine. Appetizer, main course, and dessert form the classic trio, complemented by an aperitif and any intermediate courses. The menu is seasonal and regionally inspired.
The winery is open for the menu program on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, starting at 6 p.m. Reservations are recommended as seating is limited. The atmosphere is intimate – the Meinhard family personally welcomes guests, and the wines are presented and explained directly by the vintner.
Winzenheim has been a district of Bad Kreuznach since 1969. Despite the incorporation, the village has retained its own character – narrow alleys, half-timbered houses, wineries, and a lively village community. The vineyards around Winzenheim, with their Riesling and Burgundy varieties, shape the profile of Nahe wines in the immediate vicinity of Bad Kreuznach.
