33rd Wine Festival on Rosenauplatz – ten days of wine enjoyment next to the Hugenottenhalle
Neu-Isenburg is part of the Frankfurt metropolitan region and has its own historical character: founded in 1699 as a settlement of French Huguenots who found refuge here from religious persecution. The Hugenottenhalle – the municipal cultural and event center – is a reminder of these roots and gives its name to the festival grounds next door, Rosenauplatz. The wine festival has been held here annually since 1993.
2026 will already see the 33rd edition – from Friday, August 7th, to Sunday, August 16th, 2026. This extends the wine festival over ten full days and makes it one of the longest wine festivals in the Rhine-Main region. Unlike many 3-day wine festivals, there is time for multiple visits here – for example, for a toast during the week and for dancing on the weekend.
The wine stands bring vintages from numerous regions of Germany and Austria to the square. Classic representatives from Rheingau, Rheinhessen, and Pfalz stand alongside vintages from Franken, Mosel, Baden – and Austrian wines from Wachau, Burgenland, and Niederösterreich complete the selection. Those looking for diverse wine enjoyment will find it here.
Every festival day, live music starts on the market stage at 5:00 p.m. The performances are musically diverse – from light classical and Schlager to regional bands, cover acts, and Mediterranean live acts. On Friday and Saturday, the festival doesn't close until midnight.
The Weinfest Neu-Isenburg traditionally has free admission. Catering is provided by the vintner and gastronomy stands – with fair prices and a reusable cup system.
Neu-Isenburg is one of the largest cities in the Rhine-Main region and borders Frankfurt directly to the south. With around 38,000 inhabitants, good S-Bahn connections, and an independent city history, the Huguenot city is more than just Frankfurt's suburb. The wine festival on Rosenauplatz – a spacious square next to the Hugenottenhalle – is the second major highlight in the city festival calendar after the traditional May market. Those coming from Frankfurt planning a relaxed summer evening with a glass of wine and live music will get here in ten minutes by S-Bahn.
