Music, flea market, and children's program at the marketplace — May 30 and 31, 2026
The Edewechter Marktpartie is one of those weekend town festivals that create a particularly dense atmosphere in a small community. The venue is the marketplace in Rathausstraße 7, right in the town center. The organizer is Edewecht Touristik, which expands the format year after year.
The 2026 edition runs from Saturday, May 30, to Sunday, May 31. The opening on Saturday at 8 PM features a music program in the festival tent. On Sunday, the flea market opens at 7 AM, traditionally attracting many bargain hunters from the region; the family program follows from mid-morning.
In addition to music and the flea market, the children's program is a central focus: bouncy castle, game stations, face painting, and small activities for the little ones. Food and drink stalls cater to visitors around the marketplace. The program is traditionally designed jointly by Edewecht Touristik and local clubs.
Edewecht is located in the southern Ammerland district and, with around 22,000 inhabitants, is one of the most populous municipalities in the district. The marketplace is the center of the town; the Marktpartie uses it as the perfect stage for an intergenerational festival.
The exact program and the list of participating clubs will be published in advance on edewecht-touristik.de.
