Weinfest Lehrensteinsfeld — May Tradition in the Wine Village

The Weinfest Lehrensteinsfeld takes place annually around Ascension Day around the town hall of the small wine-growing community in the Heilbronn district. The connection to the Heilbronn cooperative winery — one of the largest wine cooperatives in Southern Germany — ensures a high-quality wine selection from the Weinschatzkeller: Trollinger as a typical Württemberg red wine, Lemberger and Schwarzriesling, as well as white wines such as Riesling, Müller-Thurgau, Weissburgunder, and Kerner. The vineyards in and around Lehrensteinsfeld supply an important part of the grapes for this cooperative wine marketing.

Wednesday Evening and Ascension Day

Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 5 PM opens the Weinfest with a relaxed after-work evening — club stands open, wine service starts, food offerings are served. Thursday, May 14, 2026 (Ascension Day), from 11 AM is the main day: early morning pint with brass music, lunch service, family program in the afternoon, evening festival atmosphere with live music and dancing. The format adapts to the typical Swabian "Father's Day" Ascension Day atmosphere — families, groups of friends, and clubs meet on the festival grounds.

Weinschatzkeller — the Heilbronn Wine Treasury

The Heilbronn cooperative winery with its Weinschatzkeller at Binswanger Straße 150 in Heilbronn is one of the most important wine cooperatives in Württemberg. Hundreds of winegrower families from the Heilbronn region — including from Lehrensteinsfeld — deliver their grapes there, where vinification and marketing are centralized. At the Weinfest Lehrensteinsfeld, selections from the Weinschatzkeller are served — curated quality wines that represent the entire Heilbronn wine range.

Lehrensteinsfeld — Winegrowing Community in the Heilbronn Region

Lehrensteinsfeld is a small community with around 2,200 inhabitants in the Heilbronn district (state of Baden-Württemberg, district 08125), located east of Heilbronn at the transition from the Heilbronn region to the Sulm region. The community belongs to the Württemberg wine-growing region Heilbronn-Franken and cultivates its own vineyards — mainly on the surrounding slopes with calcareous loess soils, which produce elegant wines.
