Spring Open House at Weingut Bürgermeister Schweinhardt with wine tasting and distillery tour as part of the Nahe Season Opening 2026
The 'Nahe Season Opening' has been the official signal to start the wine season in the region between Bingen am Rhein and the Hunsrück for several years. For several days, wineries, hotels, and gastronomic establishments open their doors simultaneously, presenting the new vintage and inviting connoisseurs, hikers, and wine tourists to open houses, tastings, and themed tours.
Based in Langenlonsheim, Weingut Bürgermeister Schweinhardt is one of the traditional family businesses in the region. The winery cultivates vineyards around Langenlonsheim and Guldental and is known for both its wines and its brandies – an in-house distillery complements the range with fine spirits made from fruit and grape pomace.
On Thursday and Friday, from 3 PM to 8 PM each day, the winery opens its doors for an open house with wine tasting and distillery tours. Admission with a tasting package costs €10 per person. The focus is on the young wines of the vintage, complemented by older reserves and a selection of the in-house brandies.
As the open house is part of the coordinated Nahe Season Opening campaign, visitors can use the weekend of April 16–19 to visit several wineries and event locations in the region. A joint event calendar is managed through the Weinland Nahe portal.
To kick off the 2026 wine season, Weingut Bürgermeister Schweinhardt invites you to its courtyards for two days. Thursday is ideal for a relaxed afternoon visit, while Friday is perfect for starting an extended wine weekend in the Nahe region.
During the opening hours from 3 PM to 8 PM, guests can sample wines from the new vintage at the tasting counter, ask questions of the winegrowing family, and take a guided tour of the distillery. This tour explains the production of the in-house fine spirits, from the mash and distillation to the aging process.
The exact 2026 program will be published by the organizer in the spring. The structure follows the proven cornerstones of the Season Opening:
In parallel, other wineries and hosts in the Nahe region are opening their courtyards. The joint opening extends from April 16 to 19, 2026, and is an ideal opportunity to get to know several estates in one weekend.
Langenlonsheim is accessible via the B 48 and A 61 motorways, as well as by train (Bingen–Saarbrücken line). From the train station, the winery is just a few minutes away on foot or by taxi.
Thursday, April 16, 2026, and Friday, April 17, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM each day.
€10 per person, including tasting. Advance registration is recommended but not mandatory.
