Weinfest Buchbrunn

A Franconian Village Wine Festival in the Kitzingen District

The Weinfest Buchbrunn is one of those small, heartfelt wine festivals that make Franconia in the Bavarian district of Upper Franconia so lovable. The venue is the village square around the fountain of the municipality of Buchbrunn in the Kitzingen district, right in the middle of the Franconian wine-growing region. The festival is organized by the festival committee and TSV Buchbrunn, who put the weekend together with the local vintners and clubs.

Wines from Our Own Community

The focus is on wine: Drops from Buchbrunn vineyards are served, including the community's own wine »Alte Reben« as well as classic Franconian varieties such as Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Bacchus, Scheurebe, and Rotling. For those who like it bubbly, there's Aperol, Hugo, KummRei, and other summer cocktails. Hearty Franconian specialties are served to accompany the wine.

Program and Schedule

The festival is traditionally opened on Saturday evening by the reigning Wine Princess together with the Kitzingen Court Council and entourage. Franconian brass bands provide musical entertainment with brass music, hits, and current charts, as well as bands whose members are themselves cellar masters in Franconia.

Atmosphere

The Weinfest Buchbrunn thrives on its familiar, village atmosphere. Locals and guests from all over the Kitzingen region meet here for a cozy »Schöppeln« (drinking wine) under the open sky. The festival is a typical example of Franconian wine festival culture, where conviviality, regional wine, and village community are the focus.
